St. Joseph College Seminary is a Catholic seminary located in the Hyde Park neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. It was established in 1894 by the Archdiocese of Chicago to educate young men interested in pursuing a vocation to the priesthood. The seminary is affiliated with Loyola University Chicago and offers college-level education in philosophy and theology. Students live on campus and participate in spiritual and community activities, including daily Mass, prayer, service projects, and retreats. The seminary also offers pastoral formation and mentoring to help students discern their vocation and prepare for ministry. Graduates of St. Joseph College Seminary go on to continue their studies and formation at major seminaries and graduate schools of theology.
